POMPEII MONUMENT OF THE DAY
Although it is actually the only theatre in Pompeii, it was given this name to distinguish it from the nearby Odeion, which is much smaller and was used for different purpose. It was built in the 2nd century B.C. more or less according to traditional Greek canons in so far as the tiered seating makes use of natural slope and the orchestra is arranged in a horse-shoe shape. RECIPE OF THE DAY OF THE ANCIENT POMPEII
(Apic. 7, 19, 3) Ingredients:
- 500g fish fillet (e.g. salmon)
- 250ml white wine
- 500ml beef broth
- 3 leek branches (I hope branch is the correct expression...)
- 100ml oil
- Liquamen or salt, coriander, pepper, Liebstoeckl, Oregano to taste
- a little bit of starch or flour to thicken the sauce
Instructions:

Put the fish in a pan, add Liquamen, oil, wine and broth. Chop leek
